I had recently read Watership Down by Richard Adams. One thing I liked about the book was that the rabbits had their own folklore. In their mythology, the sun was a god named Frith. Their great mythic hero was El-Ahrairah, the "Prince of a Thousand Enemies." This picture was inspired by the story where Frith blesses El-Ahrairah, giving him strong, fast hind legs and a blazing white tail.
