This is number 279 in the "SSU Bios" series, featuring the many races appearing in the "Sleepy Stories" comics by myself and :iconnayzor:*Nayzor
Rokurokubi- Rokurokubis are a Japanese race of shapeshifters. They resemble normal humans, except that they can extend their necks to great lengths. A newcomer to Japan who thinks they're meeting a human is in for a big shock! Rokurokubis are pranksters at heart, and will never put off an opportunity for a joke. Their favorite targets are human tourists and oni. Rokurokubis wear their hair in traditional styles, but they prefer to wear more skimpy styles of bikinis. Many rokurokubis live in human communities, but others live in their own villages led by an empress. Rokurokubis also enjoy a good midday sleep and hate to be disturbed. Pregnant rokurokubis prefer to sleep by the shore as the sound soothes them. They can be good sports when pranks are pulled on them, but not when it wakes them up. Their revenge is the stuff of legends.
