The Cult Movie ABC by EmperorNortonII The Cult Movie ABC by EmperorNortonII
Medium: Ink and colored pens on paper
Here's a project I'd been considering for a long time: an alphabet piece spotlighting cult movies, with a movie image and a quote for each letter.  I got inspired to start it recently, and here it is!  The films featured are...
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984)
The Big Lebowski (1998)
A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Donnie Darko (2001)
Eraserhead (1977)
Freaks (1932)
Gymkata (1985)
Harold and Maude (1971)
The Incredibly Strange Creatures That Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? (1964)
Jaws (1975)
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)
Labyrinth (1986)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Office Space (1999)
Pink Flamingos (1972)
Quadrophenia (1979)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
Scarface (1983)
This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
UHF (1989)
Videodrome (1983)
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)
Xanadu (1980)
Yellow Submarine (1968)
Zardoz (1974)

Movies ©MGM, Polygraph Filmed Entertainment, Warner Bros., Pandora Cinema, Libra Films, Paramount Pictures, Morgan-Steckler Productions, Universal Pictures, Sony Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, Dreamland

Nice one though I missed "Pulp Fiction" and Fabienne´s legendary and true statement, Jeff! LOL

Best wishes,

I think I considered Pulp Fiction for P. There's just too many movies to choose from for some letters!

Wow, that's a nice ABC collection of cult movies! :D I recognized about half of these movies, & although I haven't seen all of them, I'm planning to do so as soon as I buy copies of them on DVD! ^_^ But I digress. ^^;

Anyway, you did such a great job with selecting the films you depicted with each letter, & your drawings (as always) are totes adorbs! :D I just can't stop staring at them, & wallowing in their awesomeness with my glazzies! ^_^ Fantastic work, droogie!

It's an underrated Sci-Fi/Horror film by John Carpenter, that also doubles as an interesting commentary on American politics when it comes to money. I think you'd like it because it's one of his least gory films. And it's underlying theme rings true to this very day.

It's Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=L86AAG…

My Favorite line from it, "The Golden Rule... he who has the gold makes the rules."

I'm surprised that you didn't include "Plan 9 From Outer Space" or "Night Of the Living Dead" or either version of "Little Shop of Horrors"

Great pic/list none the less

I think Super Mario Bros. should have made the list. I think that film has a cult of its own, because it's been popping up more and more in stores from what I've seen.
