Medium: Ink and colored pens on paper I was inspired to draw this after reading the TV Tropes page for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. One thing that struck me was finding out that the movie was actually a bit more historically accurate about the Dark Ages than one would think: catapulting animals over castle walls, self-punishing monks and so much filth and dung. Co-director Terry Jones is an Arthurian scholar and history buff, after all. It's worth noting that just about every movie about King Arthur and/or the Middle Ages that came out before MPatHG (and many that came out after) was based on the image of the so-called "Age of Chivalry" as imagined during the Victorian Period. Anyway, here's a tidbit that blew my mind. Throughout Europe, there are cathedrals with stained glass windows that depict Virtues and Vices. One of the Vices often shown is Cowardice, and it's represented by a knight running away from a rabbit! Was this the inspiration for the Killer rabbit scene? Well, after I found out about that, I just had to draw this!
