Hey everyone! Last night, after my Cartoonist Conspiracy meeting, someone got the idea to catch the 12:01 AM showing of WALL-E. Now, I don't usually see movies at their midnight premiere. But I figured this time, why not? Life's too short!
So we saw the movie at the Century Theater in Westfield Centre. I was riding with two of my friends, and the three of us managed to get our tickets just before the show sold out. We were all the way in the back row, so we got a great view. Anyway, after the trailers ended, in the moment before the movie began, people in the audience cheered in anticipation! The short that came before the movie, Presto, was very good. Very much in the spirit of older cartoons. The title card looked like the title from an old Disney cartoon.
Anyway, the feature came on. It looked great! It was very well-designed. I loved how the robots looked, especially M-O. The story was pretty good too. There were some parts that looked like live action, and that was interesting. In the end, I was very satisfied with it! I plan to get it on DVD!
Afterwards, I got a ride home. It was after 2:30 AM when I finally arrived. But I was happy. To quote my friend Audrey, "So freakin' worth it!"
